Local REALTORS Association Announces Name Change

On May 26, 2015

For Immediate Release: Asheville, NC (May 26, 2015) – The Asheville Board of REALTORS® announced today a name change for its organization. As the oldest board of REALTORS® in the State of North Carolina, this local Asheville organization will now be known as Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS®.

The announcement comes approximately a year after the Brevard Association merged with Asheville. “The name change allows us to serve a larger audience and represent our members from across Western North Carolina,” stated David Wall, the 2015 president of Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS®.

The local board participates in many events and behind the scenes work to protect the best interest of property owners and REALTORS® in the state. Local association leadership recently returned from Raleigh and Washington D.C., where they met with local and state political delegates on advocacy issues.

The Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® is Western North Carolina’s voice of real estate. Kirk Booth, former association president committed to advocacy and outreach for association members and home owners, announced his candidacy for President of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS®.

It is anticipated that the public will see great things from this organization over the next few years, as they strive to continue to be the voice for homeowners and real estate advocacy issues on a local, state, and national level.
